Live at the Baylands 4: Visual Arts & Film Edition

“Everything you see in the world is the creative work of someone who saw it differently.”

Lyrical Opposition brought together the Bay Area’s vibrant creative community for a night celebrating vision, storytelling, and connection. This Visual Arts & Film-focused Gallery & Networking event showcased local artists and filmmakers who see the world through unique lenses — and invited attendees to see it with them.

The evening spotlighted a diverse lineup of visionary filmmakers, photographers, and makers — including Aaron GarretteEthan UgaldeAngela HoApril Crawford, Elfworld, and more — each bringing their own unique lens and storytelling style to the gallery. From cinematic short films to immersive photography and handcrafted works, these local creatives transformed the space into a living conversation about art, perspective, and purpose. Their contributions reflected the event’s theme: that everything we see in the world is the creative work of someone who saw it differently.

Guests enjoyed a guided Art Gallery Walking Tour, discovering original pieces by local creatives while learning the stories behind each work. The night featured short films, trailers, and music videos from talented filmmakers and artists, followed by a live podcast-style Q&A, where audiences engaged directly with the minds behind the art.

Beyond the exhibits, attendees connected with one another, supported artists through art sales, merch, and donations, and enjoyed food and beverages that directly funded creative programs at Lyrical Opposition. With music by a live DJ and vinyls available from Lyrical Vinyl, the evening was a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and community — reminding us that every vision starts with someone daring to see things differently.
