ARTIST / POET / ACTRESS

Cheddy is an Artist / Poet / Actress from San Bruno, CA. She had established an outlet for her own expression since a young teen. In 6th grade, she was inspired by her cousin, known as AyeTony / T1 productions and his crew when they started making their own music and building their own studio - she then realized it is possible for her to make music. She then started writing her own songs and poetry. By 8th grade, she grew passionate for the art of acting and began studying the craft.

2011, Cheddy attended college to study more about music production. Not having enough funds to pay for the whole school year - she decided to study as much as she can for that semester, then dropped out. She then invested and purchased her own music equipment and started making beats (production name, OneChedz). Cheddy conveys a smooth style with an organic dulcet sound, with a sense of Bay Area feel.

Shortly after, she struggled with the usage of alcohol and other substances - partying was her only priority.  It was at a Christian event in 2012 did she find her faith and her identity in Christ. She soon began seeking God for her purpose and at a revival she attended she received her answer which was, music and this entertainment industry. She knew her passions as a young teen wasn't a phase to be neglected. In 2013, she created a clothing line and a motion called Sway Up. It is served to bring hope to this generation through truth, fashion, and style; and will be dropping more clothing & snap backs this year.

Wanting to surround herself with people that has similar goals, she found and reached out to the director of Lyrical Opposition. Soon enough she started attending their workshops and events, and performed under them. Later on she was inducted into Lyrical Opposition as an artist for poetry, spoken word, and theater.

Cheddy had performed spoken word at many youth services, churches, events, open mics, as well as rapping at youth events and church. Also taking a roll in plays and a poetic theater production, to speaking and teaching to the youth. She is also currently attending more auditions and conventions in Los Angeles for acting. Temporarily putting music and rap aside to focus on church ministry and acting, she is now rebuilding and reshaping her artistry, and plans to drop an EP this year (which she sarcastically thinks it should be titled 'Overdue' haha). Staying humble throughout her journey and being  obedient to her calling is what she lives to do to make an impact. It's been a long time coming with many obstacles, but nothing can stop what is predestined for her. As she says, "I'm here to make the truth rhyme".
