Brisbane Poetry Reading and Mixer | 7 Mile House | Brisbane Chamber of Commerce x Lyrical Opposition
On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, the community gathered at the historic 7 Mile House in the San Francisco Peninsula for an evening of entertainment, art, music, and powerful spoken word poetry. The Brisbane Poetry Reading and Mixer brought together local artists from Brisbane, the Bay Area, and beyond to share their creative voices and inspire the audience.
Co-Hosted by Luna Jenn and Cross Allan of the nonprofit organization Lyrical Opposition, the event featured mesmerizing performances by a talented lineup of poets, including Aileen Cassinetto, jxtheo, Tony Press, B.True, Dina Klaresse and James J. Siegel of Dragonfly Community Arts. Each artist captivated the crowd with their unique styles and thought-provoking pieces that tackled themes of social justice, hope, and personal transformation.
